If you start having trouble sending emails to certain people from your xtra account

今回は英語で失礼します。

After sending a "thank you" email to over 100 tennis club members, I start having trouble sending emails to certain people, including my own daughter...

As soon as I press "send," I received an error message: "554 5.7.1 Message rejected due to possible spam content."

I chatted with two Spark technical support people. One made me change my passwords 4 times and the other said it would be my email app.

So I contacted the computer man who set up my PC, and he suggested me change my email address. But I didn't want to do that.

You google the error message and see so many people had the same issue. A company sending PDF invoices to their customers was ok one month, but nothing got through next month.

So, if this happens to you, email Spark Web Services (WebDervices@spark.co.nz) using xtra webmail (https://www.spark.co.nz/xtramail/signin/). You can still send emails from there.

You will need to send them an original copy of the email you were unable to send and a copy of the error message or bounce back email that you get when you cannot send an email to xtra email addresses. You need to send them in .eml format. They will tell you how to do this in their email.

So, apparently, we can't send bulk emails from xtra. One said to email to up to 50 recipients at a time and the other said no more than 20 recipients is ideal.

I'm glad I can keep my email address.

Oh, in the course of this, they changed my IP address. That affected WordPress website, and I had to contact my computer man to get it fixed.

Hope the ulcer in my mouth will disappear soon, too!
